Iran test-fires state-of-the-art torpedoes - with video ~ link ~ The Iranians have fired some of their domestic copies of the Russian VA-111 Shkval supercavitation (rocket) torpedo. The Iranian version is named the Hoot, which means Whale. This is one very nasty weapon, it produces a bubble of hot gas in front of the 'torpedo' and the weapon actually flies through the bubble. " The Wall Street Journal then had "experts" in "election fraud and statistics" look at the data finding what they called, "the fingerprints of fraud."
In Wall Street Journal's article, "Russia's Dubious Vote," the authors admit that "the analysis doesn't in itself prove fraud in Russia's Dec. 4 parliamentary elections." But the WSJ then cites "local and international observers," that corroborate their findings of "fraud" with claims of ballot-box stuffing, vote falsification, and other violations. The only organization WSJ is able to cite by name, however, is US National Endowment for Democracy (NED) funded GOLOS.

The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway that leads in and out of the Persian Gulf between Iran and Oman.
Iran has repeatedly warned that in the event of a military attack on the country, it will not hesitate in taking all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty one of which would be to close the strategic oil passage.

What if it was discovered that someone who committed a terrorist act was once involved with a charity? Or suppose a political candidate? Are all donors of that candidate or supporters of that candidate now suspects and subject to indefinite detainment? Is that charity now an associated force?”

Fuel rods inside one of the reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant may have completely melted and bored most of the way through a concrete floor, the reactor's last line of defence before its steel outer casing, the plant's operator said.
Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco) said in a report that fuel inside reactor No 1 appeared to have dropped through its inner pressure vessel and into the outer containment vessel, indicating that the accident was more severe than first thought.
More than nine months into the crisis, workers are still unable to gauge the damage directly because of dangerously high levels of radiation inside the reactor building.

The operator of Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant has said it is considering dumping water treated for radiation contamination into the ocean as early as March, prompting protests from fishing groups.
Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco), the utility operating the Fukushima Daiichi plant, which was hit by a powerful tsunami in March that caused the world's worst nuclear accident in 25 years, said it was running out of space to store some of the water it had treated at the plant because of an inflow of groundwater.
"We would like to increase the number of tanks to accommodate the water but it will be difficult to do so indefinitely," a Tepco spokesman, Junichi Matsumoto, told reporters.
He said the plant was likely to reach its storage capacity of about 155,000 tonnes in around March.
Comment: The giant floating tank known as "Mega-Float" is full. We discussed this eventuality earlier in the year. If a release needs to happen, then there is no difference between a spill at the plant and a "controlled" release at sea. The food chain will be affected.

Large quantities of highly radioactive water have leaked through a crack in the wall of a treatment facility at the Fukushima power plant, and some may have founds its way into the sea, the plant's operator, Tokyo Electric Power [Tepco], said.
The firm said as much as 45 tonnes of water had leaked through the concrete wall of a building being used to purify contaminated water that is then used to cool molten fuel in the plant's three damaged reactors.
The firm has piled up sandbags to prevent further leaks but fears some water may have already found its way into a gutter that connects to the Pacific ocean about 600 metres away.
Experts believe the water could contain high levels of strontium-90, a beta-emitting radioactive substance that, if ingested, can cause bone cancer.
Public broadcaster NHK reported that although caesium levels in the leaked water were low, it could contain up to 130,000 becquerels per cubic centimetre of strontium, which has a half-life of 29 years.
